New Gold/Silver/Bronze Judging!
Our Open system of judging does not rely on the traditional 'category' one might be accustomed to seeing at the usual IPMS contest where the "1-2-3" style judging is used. Instead, one will see the usual table labels on the tables, but they will not have category numbers. The category used for all aircraft will be "Aircraft." Every tank will go into the "Armor" category, etc. The primary difference in Open judging is that each model is graded on it's own merits and doesn't compete against any other models on the table. After all of the gold, silver and bronze awards have been determined the 'best of the best' will have to be determined. At this stage, the judges will nominate the models they feel are the best in the category and will judge them head-to-head against each other to determine the "Best Automotive," "Best Ship," etc. These seven winners will then compete to find our "Best of Show" award.
